Val Cortoni 🇫🇷

Val Cortoni is a multi-instrumentalist songwriter and music producer based in Paris, France. Focusing on the integration of old-world acoustics with modern production techniques,  Cortoni’s original compositions feature medieval instruments such as hammered dulcimer and  psaltery along with keyboards and other electronic instruments. He composed and produced  two Synth-Folk original records: Nomade (2020), and Corélian (2022) with his classical  vocalist friend Coralie André. 

Hammered Dulcimer player since 2015, student of USA national champion Mark Alan Wade,  Val enjoys covering celtic, early and baroque music, as well as unusual genres such as heavy  metal, electronic music and video games soundtracks on his Hammered Dulcimer. Besides  being a mechanical engineer by trade, Val regularly performs Hammered Dulcimer gigs and  works as freelance Hammered Dulcimer session musician and teacher.
